North Star Cooperative Microschool
North Star Cooperative Microschool (NSC) is an enrichment program supporting homeschooling families and alternative education paths. Welcoming children ages 5–12, we offer hands-on, place-based learning that nurtures children's intrinsic motivation to learn, become thoughtful stewards and engaged members of their communities.

Just as the North Star has guided generations across time and place, our program follows a clear and steady vision, by discovering and honoring each child’s unique inner compass that leads them toward meaningful work, collaborative projects, and a thoughtful blend of traditional and modern skills.

Hybrid Learning Model
Attend 1–3 days per week in a flexible, project-based setting.
Real-world Connection
Learning is rooted in meaningful work, environmental stewardship, and practical life skills.

Low Student-to-Educator Ratio
No more than 8:1, so every child is truly seen.
Community and Connection
Students build friendships in a safe, supportive environment.

Support for Parents
Homeschooling doesn’t have to mean educating alone. At North Star, families stay connected to their child’s learning and to one another, fostering belonging, empathy, and shared support.
